Referral System

Parents/Guardians can refer their child by calling the counselor, emailing the counselor or filling out this form.

Students can refer themselves for individual counseling by filling out a "Let's Chat" form found at the front office and dropping it into the counselor's box.

Teachers may refer a student for counseling by filling out the online Counseling Referral Form located here or the physical copy outside of my office, or by emailing the counselor.

Dear Del Obispo Parents & Families,

My name is Georgina Flores and I am the new school counselor for Del Obispo Elementary School. I am excited to be a part of the Dragons community!

As a CUSD counselor, I am committed to the academic, social/emotional, and career growth of all of my students. Through this commitment, I will be providing a variety of services to students, parents, and families this year in order to support that growth. These services include:

  • Individual counseling
  • Group counseling
  • Second-Step Lessons
  • Workshops throughout the year
  • Consultation
  • Conflict mediation
  • Referrals and resources

If a student is referred for counseling, I will contact the parents and send home permission slips for either individual or group counseling. I aim to work closely with parents whose child is receiving counseling support while also respecting a student’s confidence. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions/and or concerns about counseling services. I am happy to answer any questions.

Thank you for your time and I am so excited to begin the 2017-2018 school year at Del Obispo Elementary! I hope that we have a great year filled with student success and achievement. I hope to continue to develop Moulton’s school counseling program and to serve all students and their families. GO DRAGONS!
